Description
This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source purchase order and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), National Center for Health Statistics, (NCHS)/ Office of Information Services (OIS), intends to solicit and enter into a contract with XyEnterprise, 201 Edwards Drive,Wakefield, MA, 01880. This software maintenance requirement is a yearly subscription for license maintenance support to be provided to National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). This requisition is for maintaining proprietary copyrighted software created and sold only by SDL; therefore is the sole source authorized to and capable of maintaining this complex publishing software. The processing capability of the base XPP Server license includes as many as 8 cores. As a Premium Maintenance customer NCHS is entitled to all the latest software upgrades which includes patches, service packs and both major and minor version releases. Maintenance also includes unlimited access to the XPP support team and customer portal where we can log, review, and update our own tickets and have access to the latest documentation, patches, and service packs. SDL notifies NCHS about patches to the latest release and how to obtain the release. The NCHS staff will install patch to the NCHS XPP server. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award to only one contractor using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The NAICS code for this acquisition is 511210 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13. Interested parties should submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to provide the required system to Deborah T. Workman by email at atl7@cdc.gov. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government shall consider all responses received. A determination by the CDC not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to us notification, is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
