Description
General Information: The Program Manager, Light Tactical Vehicles (PM LTV), Program Executive Office Land Systems (PEO LS) Marine Corps, invites interested industry representatives to participate in the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Sustainment Modification Initiative (SMI) Industry Day I. Date/Time: Thursday, December 19, 2013 8:00 AM - 12:15 PM Location: Stafford, VA area (specific location to be provided upon registration) PM LTV will host HMMWV SMI Industry Day I as part of market research efforts in order to provide information to industry on the HMMWV SMI program, gauge industry interest in the effort, and solicit industry feedback. The objective is to begin an initial dialog with industry on emergent HMMWV SMI requirements decisions and associated capabilities as the result of information generated and Marine Corps decisions made during the program's Technology Development (TD) Phase. PM LTV will present a synopsis of the program's acquisition strategy and planned contracting approach, allowing vendors the opportunity to assess the competitive prototype build strategy planned for the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Phase. PM LTV anticipates that the information obtained from HMMWV SMI Industry Day I will assist in the ongoing development of the draft Request for Proposal (RFP) scheduled for release in 2QFY14. Vendors are encouraged to provide the government with company literature, brochures, capabilities summaries, and other documentation deemed relevant to addressing their ability to meet the aforementioned needs. Information and data submitted will not be returned. During HMMWV SMI Industry Day I, vendors will have an opportunity to submit questions in response to the government presentations. PM LTV may not be able to address all questions in detail during the industry day, given time constraints for the event. After the industry day, vendors may also submit questions via email to the program's contract specialist, Mr. Andrew Fonda at andrew.fonda@usmc.mil. Follow-on questions should be submitted no later than 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time on Monday, December 23, 2013. All questions and answers will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. Registration to attend HMMWV SMI Industry Day I is mandatory. Registration will commence Thursday, December 12, 2013 and will end on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Upon registration, vendors will be listed in the Interested Parties List on the FBO website. Space is limited, and registration closure will be announced on the FBO website if seating capacity is reached. In order to allow as much participation as possible, the government will limit the number of representatives from a single company to three attendees. Vendors will also be allowed to register on the day of the event, if space is available. Reservations are not transferable. Registration for this event shall be via email only. Interested parties shall submit the following to Mr. Andrew Fonda at andrew.fonda@usmc.mil, no later than 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, December 18, 2013: Business name and address, attendee name(s), company point of contact (email and phone), DUNS/CAGE code, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code(s), small business status and proposed vendor status (prime contractor or subcontractor). To request conference call attendance, please notify Mr. Andrew Fonda via email no later than 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 with all required information listed in the above paragraph. Vendors shall not be reimbursed for any direct or indirect costs associated with attending this industry day. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT BINDING AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS/SERVICES. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS.
