- 2ND QUARTER FY2014 SUBSISTENCE FOOD ITEMS FOR METROPOLITAN DETENTION CENTER GUAYNABO The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Detention Center at Guaynabo Puerto Rico intends to issue solicitation RFQP03061400001 for the procurement of its 2nd Quarterly Subsistence Food Products for Fiscal Year 2014. The NAICS code for this requirement is 424410. The contract type is a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The Government reserves the right upon award to make formal single or multiple awards. The Government will award to the responsible offer or(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that are considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered, prices being rated higher than past performance. Payments will be made using the Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.sam.gov and ORCA website as per the Federal Acquisition Regulations 52.212-3. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a written offer which will be considered for award. The solicitation will be available on or after December 17, 2013, with a due date of December 31, 2013, 2:00 pm local time. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure that they have the most up-to date information about this solicitation. Completed offers may be hand delivered to the front lobby of MDC Guaynabo, mailed to MDC Guaynabo, P.O. BOX 2008, Cataño, P.R. 00963-2008, faxed to the Point of Contact Person, Juanita Rivera, Procurement and Property Specialist at 787-775-7913, or emailed to j3rivera.bop.gov. This acquisition is assigned as Unrestricted. Deliveries will be made to the Metropolitan Detention Center Guaynabo, at Cataño #652 on Road 28, Cataño Puerto Rico. (F.O.B. DESTINATION) The delivery of the majority of perishable products will be delivered throughout the quarter starting January 1st, 2014 and ending March 31, 2014. Deliveries will be coordinated with the Food Service Administrator and or his designee. All quotes must be to the specific measuring unit in lieu of not being considered for quote comparison.
