Description
Subject: The scope of this project is for the procurement of two items manufactured IAW Government drawings coded "1G". Description : DLA Land and Maritime (Columbus, OH) proposes to enter into a firm-fixed price, long-term indefinite quantity contract, which includes fixed-price option years as the approach to adjust prices for future contract periods. This project is comprised of 2 NSN's (2541 -01-550-7525 and 2541-01-550-7555) which are ballistic glass products supporting the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), the Modernized Expanded Capacity Truck (MECV), the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) and other equipment utilized by the United States Military. This indefinite quantity contract (IQC) solicitation is for 2 NSN's that are managed by DLA Land and Maritime (Columbus, OH), with an estimated annual dollar value of $489,085.94. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide long term stock coverage while reducing both administrative and production lead times at economic prices. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, with full & open competition after exclusion of sources per FAR 6.203. The solicitation will be for a total of five years, which includes a base year of 3-years and two additional 1-year option periods. The Governments delivery requirement for both the NSN's is 120 days if first article testing is waived and 285 days if first article testing is not waived for the awardee(s). Note: The solicitation opens on January 02, 2014, at that time the solicitation document and attachments as well as the drawings will be available in the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS).
