Description

The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a Prospectus for a new business opportunity at Assateague Island National Seashore. This Prospectus is soliciting proposals to provide equipment rentals, food and beverage, merchandise, and other services within Assateague Island National Seashore's Maryland district. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the previous Concessioner is not a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for approximately ten years. The exact length of the term will be determined when the effective date is determined, at the time of Contract execution. The NPS is issuing the prospectus on December 17, 2013 under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on February 25, 2014. Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Northeast Regional Office, Attn: Commercial Services Manager, 200 Chestnut Street, 3rdFloor, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19106, by the deadline in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the concession contract. There has been one prior site visit and parties attended on November 21, 2013. Any future site visits will start at the Assateague Island National Seashore Ranger Station located in the Maryland district, on the west side of Bayberry Drive, after the entrance station. Visits can be arranged by contacting Concession Specialist, Debbie Morlock, via email( Debbie_Morlock@nps.gov ). Please include the names of those who will attend in your email. If you would like to receive information about the business opportunity, but not attend a site visit, please contact Debbie Morlock to be placed on the contact list. The prospectus will be available on the NPS Commercial Services website at http://cs.inside.nps.gov/Pages/CommercialServices.aspx. There is no cost to download the documents from this website. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the prospectus from the NPS website please notify Martin Tjiattas via email at Martin_Tjiattas@nps.gov so you are placed on the mailing list to receive notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence. It is the responsibility of the potential offeror to monitor these sites for additional information. A hard copy prospectus is also available upon written request.
