- NIST Industry Day Notice National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE)- Proposed Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) Related FBO Notices: Reference No. NCCoE_FFRDC-FRN_1 (Posted May 3, 2013) Reference No. NCCoE_FFRDC-FRN_2 (Posted June 24, 2013) Reference No. NCCoE_FFRDC-FRN_3 (Posted July 18, 2013) Description: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) will be hosting an Industry Day on January 8, 2014 for parties interested in the proposed Federally Funded Research and Development Center to engage vendors and federal employees in a discussion about the proposed requirement, the NCCoE, and the forthcoming Draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for the requirement. The Industry Day will focus on the mission of the NCCoE and ongoing and future projects of the NCCoE, along with the Draft RFP for the FFRDC requirement. The Industry Day will also allow vendors to market their relevant capabilities to others in attendance. The Industry Day will first provide all attendants information on the NCCoE, its objectives and its direction. The Industry Day will then provide information on the proposed FFRDC to support the mission of the NCCoE, and will conclude with a Question & Answers session. Vendors will have the opportunity to submit questions in writing during the morning session that will be answered during the Questions & Answers period. All questions must be submitted prior to the end of the morning session. Following the Industry Day, NIST will publish a notice to FBO with all questions and answers. There will be a panel of NIST and/or Department of Commerce staff on hand for this session. NIST intends on posting a Draft RFP for the FFRDC requirement prior to the Industry Day. This Draft RFP will be posted to FBO under Reference Number " SB1341-14-RP-0005." NIST will allow interested parties sufficient time to review the Draft RFP prior to the Industry Day. This will allow interested parties to submit questions/comments regarding the Draft RFP for NIST to respond to during the Industry Day. Location: The Industry Day will be held at: The Universities at Shady Grove Building I Auditorium 9630 Gudelsky Drive Rockville, MD 20850 The Industry Day will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Follow the instructions at the web page in order to register. Due to space constraints, NIST has placed a limit on attendees of two (2) individuals per organization. NOTE: This is NOT a "bidder's conference" and this announcement is not a request for proposal, a promise to contract or a commitment of any kind. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any vendor for travel, marketing efforts or data offered for examination. Therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct or indirect charge to the Government.
