See attached for complete item purchase description 8040-01-294-3256 UI: RO ADHESIVE : DESCRIPTION A film adhesive consisting of a modified epoxy resin system on a nylon knit carrier for bonding metal to metal and metal to honeycomb components. The film weight shall be 0.075-0.085 lb/sq ft, and the roll size shall be 48 inches in width and 36 yards in length. This adhesive is sol-gel /BR6747-1 compatible. Compatibility includes satisfactory performance of the primer to the adhesive and shall be defined as a 28 day 120F minimum 97% RH wedge test in accordance with ASTM-D-3762 with pre-cured BR6747-1 and co-cured BR6747-1. Cure shall be accomplished using positive pressure. Failure mode shall be 100% cohesive. If initial crack length exceeds 3.0-inches (2.75-inches from wedge tip) on any one of ten specimens, all ten test specimens have failed and additional environmental testing is not required. Initial crack length shall be no more than 3 inches. Initial crack length is the length from the shoulder of the wedge to the crack tip. The shoulder of the wedge is the full-thickness portion of wedge closest to the crack tip. Qualified to U.S. Air Force Specification STM30-104 Adhesive, Metal to Metal and Sandwich Structure High Temperature Cure. -67 to 300+ service, Type ID = 0.080 +/- 0.005psf Modified epoxy metal-to-metal and honeycomb sandwich, and Type IE = 0.075 +.005/-.0075 or 0.10 +/- 0.005psf Modified epoxy metal-to-metal and honeycomb sandwich. Qualified to U.S. Air Force Specification STM30-105, Type III. Also, meets the requirements in STM30-104, Types ID and IE and STM30-105, Type III when co-cured with BR6747-1 to ensure compatibility with the sol-gel surface preparation process. Meets requirements of MMM-A-132 Type I or Mil-A-25463, type I, Class 2 Product must be approved by U.S. Air Force C5 System Program Office, Robins Air Force Base. 3M Co. product 62-3142-6005-0, part number AF-191K or equal. Award will be based on (1) Price, (2) Shipment Days (1) Price will be evaluated first and is most important. (2) Shipment is requested in 30 Days After Receipt of Order (DARO). Shipment is the second most important factor. In the case that one or more vendors are equal in price, award will be made to the best shipment time under the required 30 DARO.
