Bean LLC (W912EP-13-D-0015) PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FROM ANY ENTITY OTHER THAN THE PREVIOUSLY LISTED FIRMS INCLUDED IN THE GROUP 4 DREDGING MATOC POOL. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work shall consist of dredging, transporting, placing and shaping beach fill and performing all pre and post construction beach surveys. The borrow areas for Highway 12 is located offshore in the general vicinity of Wimble Shoals. The dredging shall be performed by an Ocean Certified dredge. The maximum length of pipeline to the placement area is 6 miles. Project dredging depth will be 2-6' below existing bathymetry. The total distance of the project is 11,250 linear feet along the shore. The main body of fill is approximately 8,250 linear feet in distance. A dune will be required to be constructed at the north end of the project. There will be a transition on each end of the fill. Required in place beach fill will be approximately 1,620,000 cubic yards. The current dredging period to complete this work runs from November 27, 2013 to May 15, 2014. Magnitude of construction is between $ 10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00 Coast Guard Certified Equipment is required for this project. The request for proposal will be issued on 12 December 2013 and proposals will be due at 2:00 PM local time on 3 January 2014. The award of the task order will be made on the basis of Lowest Price Technical Acceptable (LPTA). The technical evaluation factors are: - Availability of technically acceptable plant and equipment. Dredging shall be performed by an ocean certified hydraulic cutterhead suction dredge and/or hopper dredge - Past Performance See attached request for proposal for submission requirements.
