- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID. The Air Force contemplates posting an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for this project on or about 6 January 2014, and will be 100% set-aside for a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) certified business. W ork consists of furnishing all labor, supplies, m aterials, supervision, transportation, and equip m ent required for de m olition of m i scellaneous base facilities (Bldgs 432, 433, 434, 436, & 438) on Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada. Building 432, the for m er base gy m nasium is approxi m ately 46,470 SF m ade of various m aterials but pri m arily consisting of CMU blo c k. It has outdoor tennis courts (approxi m ately 12,500 SF) with surrounding fence and 6 light poles. Building 433 is a 1,170 SF single story trailer, pri m arily consisting of wood and m etal on a concrete pad. Building 434 consists of approxi m ately 9,300 SF of swi mm i ng pools (one Oly m pic-sized pool, one diving pool, and one kids' pool), approxi m ately 700 LF CMU wall, exterior lighting, solar water heating, Bocce ball pit, shade structures, and concrete area of approxi m ately 20,000 SF. Building 436 is a single story pu m p house, CMU block facility, approxi m ately 1,010 SF. Building 438 is a 2,000 SF single story bath house, CMU block facility on a concrete pad. W ork required includes de m olition and disposal of the entire facilities; two adjacent parking lots; co m plete de m olition, re m oval, backfilling, and co m pacting of pools; disconnection, re m oval and capping all underground utilities back to the m ains; de m olition of all electrical circuits back to high voltage pole; re m oval and disposal of all of the existing HVAC syste m s. Asbestos and lead abate m ent will be required. After de m olition, the project areas shall be landscaped. The total period of per f or m ance f or this design-build contract is 247 calendar days. The esti m ated contract a m ount is in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The projected IFB will contain a detailed statement of objectives and drawings for review at no cost to potential offerors. The projected date for bid opening will be on or about 5 February 2014. Considering the tentative bid opening date and period of performance, completion date for this project is on or about 27 October 2014. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract, issue a solicitation or pay for any bid preparation costs.
