Description
VA256-14-Q-0269 SOLICITATION QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1.Under the Statement of Work, Description of services, para 2, it states approx 70 LAL and 136 colony counts per month. Will these be collected on one day per month, one day per week equally divided or another schedule? This is important to know for us to provide the proper kit/supplies. Answer: It will be intermittent. Some months there may be a collection done with one bulk shipment, other months in may in weekly collections averaging to 70 LAL and 136 colony counts per month. Current facility ships the collection devices in advance so that we are prepared for any scenario. 2.Under the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice, it states vendor must also be fully accredited by the CAP and CLIA certified. We are CLIA certified and that generally supersedes CAP. Will CLIA certification be sufficient for this contract? Answer: No. We want both CLIA and CAP certifications, per Lab Manager. 3.Under the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice, page 4, maximum allowable chemical contaminants, it lists " chloramines and free chlorine". These are required to be tested at the clinic daily. These compounds will dissipate and disappear over time and if sent to the lab for testing will be inaccurate results. Will chloramines and free chlorine be required to be tested by the lab? Answer: Yes. These are requirments as established by AAMI standards.
