- The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, laboratory services, utilities, supervision, quality control, and other items necessary to properly perform the stone processing and aggregate testing at Isabella Dam. The primary goals of the work are to: 1. Stockpile and process stone on Government property: The Government has placed weathered and unweathered granite stone in numerous small piles in the stone stockpile and processing area. The Contractor shall place the stone into separate stockpiles of weathered and unweathered stone, for plant feed stockpiles. Provide all equipment, facilities, services, and labor to process stone into aggregate for use in testing and evaluations for filter and concrete aggregate. Provide stone samples for stone degradation testing. 2. Stone and aggregate testing and evaluations: Provide all equipment, facilities, services, and labor to accomplish stone and aggregate sampling, testing, and evaluations as specified herein. 3. Concrete aggregate testing: Perform laboratory aggregate gradation testing. Provide samples and transportation for Government laboratory testing and storage. 4. Filter aggregate testing: Perform laboratory testing during material processing as specified. Provide aggregate samples and transportation for Government laboratory testing and storage. Transport and place samples in the Government storage area. Construct test sections, perform sampling and testing as specified. 5. Environmental requirements: Provide environmental protection and site restoration per requirement specified herein. 6. Laboratories. The Contractor shall provide an on-site field laboratory for use in on site quality assurance testing and aggregate sampling. That is, the on-site laboratory is not required to be a certified laboratory. An off-site U.S. Army Corps of Engineers certified laboratory shall be used for quality control testing of stone, aggregates and filter material. The offsite laboratory shall be within 100 miles of the project site or within 100 miles of the Sacramento District Office. Laboratory technicians to sample aggregates, perform testing, package samples for shipment to the Government and Contractor's laboratory, and package samples for Government storage. Contractor shall provide all sample shipping. 7. Report: Prepare comprehensive technical report of all work, report observations, including complete certified laboratory test reports. The report shall also include manufacturer's equipment data and descriptive literature for stone and aggregate plant and compaction equipment used in the work.
