- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile Regional Contracting Center is seeking information regarding capability and availability of potential contractors to supply a Lock Hydraulic Cylinder for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jim Woodruff Project, Chattahoochee, Florida. A determination regarding the potential for small business set-asides will be based on the information and interest received as a result of this notice. The general scope of the project consists of but not limited to the supply of the following components: cylinder head; cylinder glands; piston rod assembly; hone cylinder; paint; assembly and hardware; piston rings; and engineering and design. The assembly, testing, and delivery of one (1) fully functioning single stage double acting hydraulic cylinder with a 9'- 3.0625 quote mark stroke and 12 quote mark bore. The government will supply the cylinder barrel and piston but the successful bidder shall be responsible for the pickup and delivery of these components to their location. The government will furnish the equipment and labor necessary to load and unload freight from a flat bed trailer at the Jim Woodruff Project. The requirements cover all work necessary for the procurement, manufacture, assembly, testing, and pickup/delivery F.O.B. destination of supplies, equipment, and materials. The offeror will be expected to submit technical data such as manufacture cut sheets, photos, and technical specifications on all proposed components to show conformance with the specifications. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to determine the availability of qualified contractors to perform these services to include Small Businesses, 8(a) contractors, HUBZone Small Business Concerns, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, and Women-Owned Businesses. The primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to these requirements is 333999. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Offerors are requested to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis with the following information which shall not exceed ten pages: 1. Offeror's name, addresses, points of contact, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses. 2. Offeror's capability to perform, to include geographic span, logistic complexity, and project size. Experience in conducting cultural resources studies and services in support of compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, National Environmental Policy Act and other pertinent federal cultural resources laws and regulation is required. 3. Offeror's business size to include designation as Small Businesses, 8(a) contractors, HUBZone Small Business Concerns, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, and Women-Owned Businesses. For 8(a) Contractors, please include proposed graduation date from the 8(a) Program. 4. No more than three (3) projects that are 100% complete and were completed entirely by the prime contractor within the past five years that demonstrate their capability to perform the type of work described above. Project information is not to exceed 1 page per project and should include title, location, general description of the project, Offeror's role, dollar value of the project, and name of the company, agency or Government entity for which the work was performed with contact information (reference name, phone number and email address). Interested Offerors shall respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis no later than 21 January 2014. NO RESPONSES WILL BE ACCEPTED BY FAX OR E-MAIL.
