- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR: Project 537-14-116: Replace Obsolete Air Handler Units, Group A-Units S-6 and S-19 at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60612. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small Business (SDVOSBs). Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, and qualified supervision for the removal of two existing air handling units and replace with two new upgraded units and associated repair/replacement of existing ductwork, piping, and controls to operate the new units, as outlined in the contract documents. Work to be completed within 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOps. There will be a pre-bid site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site conference will be included in the solicitation package. The solicitation for this project will be issued on/or about January 22, 2014 with the bid opening on/about February 21, 2014. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220; size standard $14.0 Million applies. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms. The SDVOSB must be registered with and verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, (CVE) prior to submission of an offer, and verified in the following websites: http://ccr.gov, and http://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award.
