- SYNOPSIS: This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) seeks information on vendors that are interested and capable of removing fuel from an aboveground storage tank, located at the Anniston Army Depot facility. This fuel is recovered from combat vehicles that are brought to the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) for maintenance work. The fuel is a varying mixture of JP8 and diesel with less than 10% water. The rate of removal required is approximately 5000 to 15,000 gallons per month and is on an as needed basis. The contractor must provide the necessary personnel and equipment to safely transfer the fuel from the storage tank and transport off site to a fuel reuse or energy recovery facility. The contractor shall bill the government for services rendered on an as needed basis, and only varifyable invoices will be certified for payment by the contracting officer's representative. Any proceeds realized by the contractor from the sell of the fuel on the secondary market should be reimbursed to the Anniston Army Depot through the use of the recycling program. The Anniston Army Depot is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, and small business concerns. Small business concerns are defined under the associated North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this effort, 562998, All other miscellaneous Waste management Services; Size Standard $7.0M. Please include your company's size classification and socio-economic status in any response to this notice. Responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist T. Responses must be received no later than 21 January 2014 at 4:00 PM (CST) and must include the following: 1. Prospective firm's name, address, phone number, socioeconomic status and DUNS number 2. General information of firm's previous experience on no more than three projects of a similar scope, complexity and value; including the title, location, brief description of work, and dollar value Responses should be quote mark short and to-the-point quote mark and limited to one page. This Request For Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
