- The Tucson Area Indian Health Service intends to conduct sole source procurement with Southwest Gas Corporation of Tucson, Arizona for piped natural gas services for the San Xavier Health Center. Southwest Gas Corporation is a regulated utility by the State of Arizona and is the assigned provider for the Tohono O'odham Nation. The Tucson Area Indian Health Service offices, facilities and residences reside on and under the boundaries of the Tohono O'odham Nation. It would be inconsistent with the State of Arizona power of jurisdiction to solicit a contract as only one contractor can provide/quote the services needed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses must be received by January 11, 2014, 4:00 pm, MST. All responses in writing can be sent via email to delvena.carlyle@ihs.gov.
