- Army Contracting Command at Rock Island (ACC-RI) is looking for interested vendors who offer for sale and/or manufacturer hardware and steel, for fixture tooling, as specified for a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) type contract for the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing Technology Center (RIA-JMTC). Vendors shall have experience in manufacturing, supplying, and/or offering for sale in the regular course of business the following types of material: Hardware includes, but are not limited to clamps, nuts, washers, bolts, screws, spindles, springs, round steel, flat steel and pre-hardened steel. This is not an all inclusive list. A complete list of material, part numbers and specifications will be identified in the solicitation. General Requirements: VMI is defined as managing contract account in accordance with generally accepted VMI practices, which optimize supply chain performance. This includes, but is not limited to the resupply of designated items by the vendor through regularly scheduled reviews of on-site inventory counts, removal of damaged or outdated goods, and the restocking of inventory to predetermined levels at their specific locations. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 332722. Firms that recognize and can provide the required items described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Vendors are requested to provide the following when responding: Company name, CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) Code, POC with email and phone number, business size (large or small in regards to NAICS listed above) and a brief summary of capabilities that meet/match our requirements as described above. In addition, please identify in your capabilities statement if you have experience managing a VMI. Please respond no later than 10 January 2014 by email to ACC-RI Contract Specialist, Trish Allers as patricia.e.allers.civ@mail.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and should not be construed as a Request for Quote or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a purchase order on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. ACC-RI will only utilize the information you provide in developing its acquisition approach for future requirements.
