- The U.S. Army, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, 66027 intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase order AudioCARE INC for expanded service of their patient appointment reminder system. Right now they use AudioCARE for an automated phone call patient appointment reminder. The requirement going forward will be the addition of a text message reminder. Patients will have the option for either the phone call or the text message. Not only must AudioCARE provide the text and call service but they have to be compatable with the software that is currently in place in the Army Health Care system (CHCS and AHLTA). Research indicates that there is no other company that can provide these services and interface with these systems. This is a sole source procurement under Acquisition of Commercial Items (FAR 12), and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office by 1600 Central Time on 9 JAN 14. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Daniel.Gustke@us.army.mil.
