- This is a pre-solicitation notice for Cesium-137 Radio Active Check Source Assembly as prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. NSWCCD Philadelphia seeks to competitively award a firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This procurement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Philadelphia has established a requirement for Cesium-137, Radioactive check source assembly for use with handheld survey meters the Navy intends to procure a maximum of 75 units. The Navy uses the IM-231 family of ionization chamber detectors, but to minimize the cost of a significantly expanded number of instruments in use, the Navy seeks a radioactive check source assembly that is an alternative to the current MX-12xxx/s series source kits. Any additional specifications for the supply items will be listed with the posting of the solicitation. The required delivery of the supply items could be one (1) year after date of award. The purchase order will be awarded on a Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis using policies and procedures in accordance with FAR Part 15. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334519 with a size standard of 500. This announcement does not constitute a solicitation. Specific details will be provided in the solicitation Request For Quote (RFQ) N65540-14-T-5025, which will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ (click on Vendors), at least 15 days after posting of this notice. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award. See www.sam.gov for further information and instructions.
