Description

VA South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) contracting office anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price construction contract for the replacement of degrading ceiling and lighting components of the 3rd and 4th floors (Ceiling and Lights, Phase III) of the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78229. The project number is 671-11-115. Renovations include: demolitions, asbestos abatement, mechanical and electrical works to the existing structure on the 3rd and 4th floors. Relocation also includes the upgrade of the fire suppression alarm system, relocations of all exit signs, smoke detectors, nurse call buttons, cameras, and sprinkler heads. The contractor is responsible for, but not limited to; furnish all labor, tools, and materials, equipment and supervision to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The period of performance is 360 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The method of procurement shall be an Invitation For Bid (IFB) in accordance with FAR Part 14 and 36. Issue date will be on or about February 3, 2014. Proposal closing date will be on or about March 19, 2014. Specifications and Drawings will be issued as attachments to the Solicitation. This procurement is a 100% Set Aside for Woman-owned/HUBZone/Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), under Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127). The NAICS code is 236220, with business size standard at $33.5 Mil. Probable Cost Range: $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
