Description
This synopsis is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov. FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation is unrestricted, NAICS code is 334418, size standard is 500 emp. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-13-Q-3027. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-27. NUWC Division Newport intends to place a firm fixed price type purchase order with North Atlantic Industries to procure the following sole make and model items: (2 ea) PCI Full-Size D/S, S/D, LVDT Simulation/Measurement and Multifunction I/O Board P/N #76CS3-68N72525C23C00 (6 ea) PCI Full-Size D/S, S/D, LVDT Simulation/Measurement and Multifunction I/O Board Configured P/N #76CS3-68D82525P83C00 Required delivery is twenty weeks after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. Only the North Atlantic vendor PCI 76CS3 series CCAs were found, to provide all of the Governments Navigation Emulation System (NES) requirements. Furthermore, if multiple CCA products were utilized instead of the specified North Atlantic CCA product then software coding for the other vendor CCA designs would have to be developed for each of the different vendor's CCA. Also, if multiple vendor CCA products were utilized the NES PC motherboard requirements would not support the aggregate CCA power requirements. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Offers for other products must contain complete product information, delivery terms and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: NONE All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps website for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
