Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source purchase order to Rockwell Collins, 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498. The Aviation System Standards (AVN), Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Group (AMEG), (AJW-3472) have a customer defined requirement for equipment/parts to upgrade extended range radios. The mission essential equipment is needed for worldwide communication. The aircraft require secure communications, UHF operations, and extended VHF to be able to work effectively throughout the world in support of the agency ™s mission. The total estimated value is $313,602.00. Two (2) RT-1990(C) Gen 5 Radio “ Part Number: 822-3137-001 Two (2) C-12719 Control Unit - Part Number: 822-2092-001 Two (2) MT-6567 Low Profile Mount “ Part Number: 622-8766-001 Four (4) VHF-4000E Extended Range Radio “ Part Number: 822-1872-390 Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA ™s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A full and open competition is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with the single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above and the FAA will evaluate this accordingly. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
