Description

The following questions/responses are hereby provided in accordance with the terms of subject RFI: Q1. While the "no-melt, no-drip" requirement does not imply an FR capability, is there interest in some form of FR protection? A1. In the event a vendor would like to provide information pertaining to FR in his/her RFI response, the vendor may do so; however, it is not required as the requirement is "no-melt/no-drip." Q2. Tear strength, breaking strength, etc. is not listed in Attachment 1. Should we follow the previous RFI (M67854-13-I-1029) specs or the MCCUU specs? A2. The vendor may refer to the previous RFI in reference to tear and breaking strength; however, per this RFI, protection from the natural elements (ground and brush) is a must. Q3. Were the uniforms tested at the JWTC in Okinawa permethrin treated? A3. Yes. Two of the uniforms tested in Okinawa were treated with permethrin.
