Description

SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR VA261-14-R-0195 - BIO HAZARD WASTE REMOVAL VA PALO ALTO CA. Sources Sought Responses shall include at a minimum Socio-Economic Category and DUNS number. Information received will be used in any set aside determination. Responses to Sources Sought are due no later than January 30, 2014 for Bio hazardous Waste Pickup Requirement for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System and associated outpatient clinics. This announcement is posted to see if adequate competition exists among Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) type firms. This contract is expected to have a one year base period with four option years thereafter. NAICS Code is 562112; size standard is $12.5 million. Product Service Code is S299. Any/all responses must be submitted in writing electronically via email to Rusty.Stevenson@va.gov. Neither faxed nor phone responses will be addressed. General Scope of Services: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, containers' appropriately sanitized, containers properly labeled, disinfected and labeled (except for Government-furnished "Sharps" needle containers), supplies, materials, transportation and supervision required to provide pick-up, transport, treatment/incineration and/or acceptable disposition of biomedical infectious waste, pathological wastes, non-hazardous pharmaceutical waste, and chemotherapy wastes for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304-1290, remote facilities and associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC). The intent is to post the actual solicitation on or about February 3, 2014 with an expected award date of April 1, 2014. Electronic solicitation shall be accessed at no cost at www.fbo.gov.
