Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) intends to negotiate a noncompetitive award to Hortonworks, Inc., 3460 West Bayshore Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304, a Small Business (SB), to provide a Hortonworks Data Platform for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. This procurement is a sole source award in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. Sole source justification has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. This acquisition will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The term of the contract is estimated to be 3 months. The NAICS code is 541990 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million. Scope of Work: The contractor shall furnish all personnel, materials, supervision, facilities, transportation and resources necessary to provide consultation and development of a plan to customize Apache and Hadoop ® to the Healthcare Associated Infections and Influenza Surveillance System (HAIISS) existing HAIISS Data Warehouse (HDW) technology stack.
