- CAPABILITY STATEMENT INSTRUCTIONS MHE Fleet Management Solution Scope of Request The Integrated Support Services Division (ISS) within the Library of Congress is issuing this combined Sources Sought and Request for Information (RFI) to determine the breath and scope of the industry's capability to provide a fleet management application and/or system process for efficient material handling equipment utilization and effective fleet management. Input provided will be utilized to develop a Statement of Work. Specific areas of interest include 1) controlling access to equipment so that only individuals who are authorized and trained on the equipment can use it; 2) an automated method that captures vital equipment information such as usage, status of vital component equipment such as battery life, fluids, and tire wear, impact readings and any other pertinent maintenance/utilization data and; (3) methods of analysis that would support the determination optimal fleet size and mix of equipment required to accomplish the mission in the most cost effective manner. The Library of Congress seeks qualified interested vendors to provide information on the areas described above. This sources sought notice is being used to determine if sufficient interest and capability exists regarding a potential future solicitation. This notice is provided as information to the market place and is an invitation for potential offerors to express interest and provide information regarding their relevant capabilities. Information submitted in response to this notice may be used as a basis for a future solicitation and/or as a basis for more in-depth research of an organization's capability. This Sources Sought Notice is for procurement planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. Interested parties should submit capability statements via email to Erik Peterson, Contract Specialist at erpe@loc.gov. Capabilities statements should be limited to no longer than 5 pages and include the following information Information Requested 1. Describe potential options for MHE Fleet Management. 2. Describe your experience in providing MHE Fleet Management solutions. 3. Provide a relative order of magnitude of cost on an annual basis for an effort of this type. Assume a fleet size range of 30-40 pieces of equipment. 4. Provide any information based on previous experience with MHE Fleet Management Systems.
