Description

The Orlando VA Medical Center intends to solicit & award an acquisition for annual onsite commercial secure collection and final destruction of secure waste (confidential documents) generated at the Orlando VA Medical Center and all of its clinics and administrative buildings. This contract will be for a base year and four - one year option periods. Base Year - February 1, 2014 through January 31, 2015 Option Year #1 - February 1, 2015 through January 31, 2016 Option Year #2 - February 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017 Option Year #3 - February 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018 Option Year #4 - February 1, 2018 through January 31, 2019. The requirement consists of furnishing all labor, personnel, material, equipment, tools, supervision and other items necessary to provide contracted services. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 561990 - Document Shredding, with a related small business size standard of $10.0M. The proposed action is for Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract, which will be advertised as a 100% set aside for small businesses. The solicitation will be posted on or about 14 January 2014, via fedbizopps.gov website. Please note the response date listed with this pre-solicitation notice is not the actual due date. The actual due date will be stated in the solicitation. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69. It is the responsibility of the offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to the solicitation. No hard copies will be mailed. To be eligible for award, prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Internet site, www.sam.gov, under the appropriate small business category and NAICS.
