- PWS This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis/RFI. The Government is neither negotiating nor calling for offers at this time. No solicitation is being issued at this time; while a formal solicitation may be issued at a later date, this notice does not commit the government to ultimately award a contract. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not commit the Government to pay for any response or preparation cost. The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this sources sought synopsis. This information will be reviewed and will be used to develop the acquisition strategy and possibly a Request for Quotation. Market Research is being conducted by the 6th Contracting Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base to seek qualified contractors with the skills, knowledge, and resources required provide the requirement listed below, FL on behalf of the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE). Description of Requirement The 6 th Contracting Squadron is seeking qualified sources that can provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance of the AN/USC-60A Fly-Away Tri-Band Satellite Terminal (FTSAT), AN/TSC-161 Quad-Band Dual Hub Terminal (QDHT), OE-593/F Lightweight Medium Aperture Antenna (LMAA), Integrated Multiple Antenna Terminal Electronics (IMATE), Hawkeye 2.4M Multi-Band VSAT and Hawkeye III Lite 1.2M Tri-Band VSAT as defined in this performance work statement (PWS), for MacDill AFB, FL. The proposed work effort for the LMAA, IMATE, 2.4M and 1.2M terminals will cover the inspection, configuration verification, technical evaluation, test and alignment and repair of the listed terminals and/or Line Replaceable Units (LRU)'s (reference PWS). This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System is 334220 and the size standard is 750 employees. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities, and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 8:00 AM EST on 15 February 2014. Such information will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their experience in providing the same or similar items described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business status (i.e. 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, etc.), business size based on NAICS 334220, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, or for any costs associated with providing the information.
