- Department of Health and Human Services, National institutes of Health, National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), 6707 Democracy Boulevard, II Democracy Plaza, Suite 700W, Bethesda, Maryland 20892. National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) plans to procure on a sole source basis with Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC, General Post Office, New York, NY 10087-5943 for Service Contract: Scanhead LSM 710 2504000141 M206027. Services to be performed: •Scheduled and Emergency service performed between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays • All travel charges within the continental U.S.A. • One (1) * preventative maintenance inspection per Service Agreement year • All covered replacement parts * • Applications Support/Training • Software updates when available • Factory trained Field Service Representatives The proposed period of performance shall be 12 months from date of award. Place of Performance: National Institutes of Health, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland 20892. The Government will accept the job performed by the Contractor. If it is a repair, equipment needs to demonstrate continuous performance. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the NIDDK to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein. An original and one copy of the capability statement must be received in the DK Acquisitions Branch on or before 11:00 AM EST on January 31, 2014. All questions must be in writing and can be faxed to 301-402-8501 or emailed to V. Lynn Griffin, Business Opportunity Specialist at griffinv@mail.nih.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the System for Award Management https://www.sam.gov. No collect calls will be accepted. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s)."
