Description
CLOSING DATE OF SOLICITATION IS EXTENDED FROM JANUARY 30, 2014 TO FEBRUARY 14, 2014. D.3.1 TRAINING/EXPERIENCE (Modification adds the submit to information for the RT 130 and WCT requirement) Each person under this Agreement shall meet the following minimum requirements: 1. 3 years experience in the commercial logging industry as a timber faller and/or 3 years experience as a faller on wildfire incidents (1,000 hours of timber falling is equal to 1 year of experience). 2. RT-130 Annual Fireline Refresher including fire shelter. 3. Arduous Work Capacity Fitness Test (3 miles with a 45 pound pack in 45 minutes). The government reserves the right to verify training and experience at any time for all fallers. SUBMIT ROSTER OF FALLERS WITH WORK CAPACITY TIME ANNOTATED AND RT-130 CERTIFICATES FOR EACH FALLER NO LATER THAN APRIL 15 2014 TO AVOID BEING REMOVED FROM DPL. Submit to: USDA Forest Service, 324 25th Street, Ogden, UT 84401, Attention: Sue Huston or Sierra Hellstrom (shuston@fs.fed.us or srhellstrom@fs.fed.us ) D.16 INSPECTIONS (modification adds the resume requirement) The Government is requesting all vendors submitting a quote under this solicitation to submit resumes for all of their proposed faller(s). Resumes shall support the minimum experience requirements referenced under D.3.1, Training/Experience. RT-130 Fireline Refresher and Arduous Work Capacity Fitness Test results may be verified before fire season or at an actual incident by Fire Operations or Compliance Inspector. (Amendment 1 effective 12/20/13 upgraded Work Capacity Test from light to arduous) All resumes shall have current and valid reference contact phone numbers that can support a proposed fallers experience. Number of references is dependent on listed skills and experience on resume. Any incomplete information may result in no award being offered for that faller. For information gathering purposes, group all proposed fallers resumes into one package identifiable to the name of the vendor submitting a quote.
