- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to initiate a Request for Quote (RFQ) procurement to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order to have the Port and Starboard engines on the Dredge McFARLAND Launch rebuilt and repaired. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, services, parts, material and equipment to perform and complete the work in accordance with the Scope of Work. The NAICS code is 336611 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The acquisition will be solicited using the procurement process prescribed in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). RFQ No. W912BU-14-T-0010 will be available on or about 22 Jan 2014 and will be due on, or about, 28 Jan 2014. The official media of distribution for the RFQ is the web. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov; interested contractors must register in order to access the solicitation. Contractors may download the solicitation (including any drawings) and any amendments via the FBO web site on (or after) the issue date. Hard copies will not be available and written or fax requests will not be accepted. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the RFQ and any amendments. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FBO web site for any changes. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD System for Award Management by award (SAM) before award as required by FAR 4.11 and FAR 52.204-7. Also, firms who receive a federal contract in excess of $25,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
