Description

The Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, transportation, materials, parts, tools and all other required elements necessary to perform all operations in connection with the project titled 'Fire Stop Maintenance' services at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System (SAVAHCS), located at the VA Medical Campus in Tucson Arizona. This service shall result in 'turnkey' Fire-Stop (Fire Safety) Services, including regular inspections, documentation, repairing, and restoring of fire/smoke barrier systems in accordance with the solicitation Description of Service. The period of performance is scheduled to be April 1, 2014 (or date of award), thru September 30, 2014 with four additional one year option periods available to the government. This requirement is restricted to Small Business Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns ONLY. No other business size or category will be considered under this solicitation once published. For an offer to be considered, the company must be listed/certified as a SDVOSB at http://www.vetbiz.gov/. If you are not currently certified, you are encouraged to apply immediately as this can be a lengthy process. The NAICS code is 541350. The corresponding size standard is $7 Mil. The subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued in a commercial format in accordance with the procedures outlined in FAR 15 'Contracting By Negotiation,' using specified Past/Present Performance/Price Tradeoff evaluation procedures as detailed in the RFP. This solicitation will be issued on or about February 4, 2014, with an estimated proposal receipt date of March 6, 2014. These are NOT firm dates, so ensure you review this site regularly if interested. The exact date shall be stated on the SF 1449 upon issuance of the solicitation. It will be available only via the Federal Business Opportunities web site listed at www.fbo.gov. No paper copies will be furnished.
