Description
SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes, only. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining the appropriate solution to meet the Government's requirements. The Government is seeking responses from all businesses capable of providing the solution or has knowledge of the industry. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE or PROPOSAL. Responses to this announcement are not considered quotes or offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. This notice will close 27 January 2014 at 1000 AM EST. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, has a requirement for a mobile computing device for use in its academic environment. The application and course material is proprietary to the United States Military Academy and owned by the United States Military Academy. The mobile computing device must be compatible with the Academy's Apple iBook course material and must meet the Ultra-Mobile Interim Authorization to Test (IATT) approved by the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). The Government has identified the Apple iPad with the following minimum hardware and operating system requirements as the solution: oiPad version 2 or newer with a 9.7 inch (diagonal) screen or the iPad mini oWi-Fi (3G/4G/LTE service is not required, but authorized) oiOS 6 or newer o16GB disk space Respondents shall provide a full description of their capability to meet the anticipated requirement including other possible solutions. Feedback on this requirement is encouraged. The anticipated NAICS is 334111 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Please review the requirements listed below. At a minimum, the package shall address the following: 1. Title of the requirement, Company Name, Address, and POC. 2. Company profile to include DUNS number/CAGE Code, and a statement regarding current small business status to include small business type(s)/certification(s) such as: SDB, 8a, HubZone, SDVOB, etc. 3. State the delivery time 4. Full description of proposed solution including proof of acceptability on the West Point network. Responses shall be submitted by email to mark.draluck@us.army.mil.
