Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Services for Clinac IXS Support Solicitation Number: VA250-14-I-0159 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Louis Stokes VA Medical Center intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency based on proprietary issues and compatibility requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Varian Medical Systems 660 N McCarthy Blvd, Milpitas, and CA 95035 for a Clinac IXS Support Agreement. The Period of Performance would be from 03/01/2014 through 02/28/2015. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
