Description

INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT for Lippincott's Nursing Solutions This is not a request for proposal or a request for quote. There is no solicitation document available. This is a notice of intent of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida to negotiate a sole source contract with Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. (WKH), Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) for Online access to Lippincott's Nursing Procedures and Skills. This is a logical follow-on to a prior subscription for nursing access to Lippincott's Nursing Solutions and Training at the Tampa VA. Alternant subscriptions will disrupt the ongoing training and certification program for the intended audience at this facility. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the Government to reacquire this subscription through WKH to ensure consistent terms and conditions in licensing and provide continuity of audience training and certification. The price is considered fair and reasonable. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1). This procurement is being conducted using FAR Part 12 procedures.
