- PURPOSE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO 9) is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive basis from qualified organizations to award of a fixed priced, indefinite delivery/requirements (ID/R, Base + 4 options Year) contract. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded April 1, 2014. The contract shall include a requirement for ambulance transportation services which require 24 hours a day, seven days a week (including holidays) for beneficiaries of the VA Medical Center on an as needed basis. DESCRIPTION: NAICS AND SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this service is 621910 with a small business size standard of $14 Million. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The proposed contract will cover performance periods that include the Date of Award through September 30, 2014 with four (4) option years for renewal. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Unrestricted SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date is on or about February 7, 2014, with questions due no later than February 19, 2014 and a projected bid submission date of March 7, 2014.
