- This is a Request for Information from service industry organizations. The Great Lakes and Ohio Rivers Division is in need of feedback to ascertain the most cost effective means of procurement for service contracts i.e. mowing, maintenance, park attendants, pesticides, etc. The Government recognizes that the method of procurement influences competition and pricing. In an effort to attain the best value for the Government and taxpayers, please respond to the following: 1) Vendor Name Company name POC Telephone Number Address Business Set-Aside Registered NAICS Geographic Locations (Areas within LRD your organization is interested) 2) Are consolidated service contracts preferred or would your organization be more likely to bid on independent services? For example, consolidated contracts have been awarded that include mowing, janitorial services, pesticides, etc. Please indicate your organization preference of consolidated service contracts or independent service contracts. Also if there are services that your organization would more likely bid as independent services, please indicate the types of services. 3) What is the preferred total length of Service Contract? Base only Base + 1 option year Base + 2 options years Base + 3 options years Base + 4 options (max. out at 5 years total) 4) If a longer total length of service contract work is preferred, would your organization still bid on shorter durations? If yes, please indicate any impacts to your bid, if any. If no, please indicate why you would rather not bid on the opportunity. 5) What is the minimum total length of Service Contract that your organization would bid i.e. Base + 1, Base +2, etc.? 6) Please provide any information/suggestions that your organization might have to improve competition and/or lend to support Government efforts to reduce costs.
