Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time. The contractor must provide one individual for the entire length of the contract to perform reading and assistant duties to a blind counselor. Responsibilities will include: reading counseling files, bills and reviewing paperwork. As well as assisting with filing, scanning and voucher preparation. Ideal individual will possess excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills. Resumes must be submitted for individuals. The selected contractor will be required to provide up to (20) hours per week of duties as stated above for our Providence Rhode Island Veterans Rehabilitation and Employment office (VR&E). The applicable Department of Labor wage determination for WD 05-2467 (Rev.-13) for Providence, RI under Occupation code - title - 01111 - General Clerk I. The hours will be scheduled on a weekly basis, provided one week in advance. A one week lead time will be provided for any changes in the schedule or if services are not required. Estimated Schedule: Mon through Fri, 4 hrs a day (5 days a week). The four hours will be consecutive between the hours of 8:30-4:30pm. The government will be flexible to the vendors schedule within the hours of operation. Period of Performance is upon government award for one year (not to exceed twelve months).The Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Providence, Rhode Island has a diverse pool of employees which contributes to the strength of the Regional Office and enables us to assist and provide benefits to those who have served our nation honorably. Our goal is to have a contract in place to enable our vision impaired employees the ability to fully contribute to the team's effort by contracting a reader to assist them in their duties.
