Description

Introduction The Department of Veterans Affairs Richard L. Roudebush Medical Center (VAMC) located at 1481 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202-2830 has a requirement for radiopharmaceuticals, specifically Yttrium-90 microspheres, for the Interventional Radiology Department's treatment of primary liver cancer. Background The Interventional Radiology Department at the VAMC has been treating patients with primary liver cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma [HCC]) with Yttrium-90 microspheres while the patients await liver transplant. Previously, the VAMC has procured Yttrium-90 microspheres as patient treatment became necessary. However, the VAMC's use of Yttrium-90 microspheres over the last several years has increased due to the success of the treatment, and the piecemeal approach to ordering the required yttrium-90 microspheres has become burdensome and time-consuming, using resources better spent on patient care. The VAMC is interested in establishing an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract in order to achieve ordering efficiencies and pre-established pricing. Scope Contractor shall provide all single unit doses of Yttrium-90 microspheres used by the Interventional Radiology Clinic, VAMC in Indianapolis, Indiana.
