- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Geological Survey, Alaska Science Center in Anchorage, Alaska has a requirement for a custom river boat with motor and trailer. Specifications include the following: 20' length, bottom width 76", 29" sides, 9 degree dead rise w/tunnel, hull thickness minimum 0.125" w/center of hull reinforced to 0.25" thick by 13" wide through planing surface. Aft helm w/windshield at midship and canvas top and side curtains. There is no need for a back curtain Formed rib bottom, w/4 corrugations, 2 on each side of keel. Extended bottom trim plate. Built-in under-floor 50 gal. baffled, aluminum fuel tank w/secondary fuel feed off tank for kicker fuel. " 50 Year pressure treated plywood floors covered with marine boat decking, Full length welded side trays w/marine carpet. Full width self-bailing transom shelf. Welded bow and stern eyes. Welded rails 7" above gunnels aft of windshield and 7" above gunnels forward of windshield transitioning to 20" above gunnels adjacent to diamond plate bow deck. No rail across bow. Walk-around gunnels w/nonskid surface. Storage under front step deck. Diamond plate bow cap. Fuel/water separator. 6 Panel power source, w/sealed switches and fuses. 12 volt accessory outlet. Navigation/running lights. 1250 GPH bilge pump. Electric Horn. Back lit fuel gage. Walk-thru windshield w/tempered glass Windshield wipers on both driver and passenger sides. Dash mounted cable steering system. Two upholstered seats. Two welded aluminum lockable dry storage boxes, w/upholstered bench-type seat w/backrest mounted on one storage box. Dual batteries w/switch (group 24). COLOR PREFERENCES: Boat hull - blue/silver Upholstery - gray Canvas top - gray Yamaha 2014 150HP Four Stroke Outboard with rigging kit, including tachometer and stainless steel impeller The Request for Quotation (RFQ), number G14PS00116, will be made available through the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.102(a)(1), on or about January 16, 2014. The Government anticipates award of a Firm-Fixed Price type contract. All firms should be registered in the SAM.
