PL2320255-E PL2320256-D 2320255-D Drawing 2320256-C SF30 Amendement A0001 SOLICITATION NUMBER IS RA-133W-14-RQ-0125 PROJECT TITLE: NEXRAD Custom Cables LOCATION OF WORK: Vendor's Facility NAICS CODE: 335929, Other Communication and Energy Wire Manufacturing. The small-business size standard is 1,000 employees. SET-ASIDE STATUS: Small Business DESCRIPTION: The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Radar Operations Center (ROC) requires 235 custom built AC Power Cables, 235 custom built DC Power Cables, 215 custom built Power Amp Cables and 215 custom built Radar Pedestal Cables. Specifications will be provided with the solicitation. NEXRAD (Next-Generation Weather Radar) is a network of 168 high-resolution Doppler weather radars operated by the National Weather Service (NWS), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the U.S. Air Force (USAF). NEXRAD detects weather events and is the primary detection system used by the NWS to support issuance of severe weather warnings, and used by the FAA and USAF to support safety of flight operations. The WSR-88D ROC is responsible for complete life-cycle support of the radar network including system engineering, configuration management, and logistics analysis and support. The contractor shall be capable of providing 235 custom built AC Power Cables, 235 custom built DC Power Cables, 215 custom built Power Amp Cables and 215 custom built Radar Pedestal Cables. The following is the delivery schedule for the NOAA/ROC Agency Stock Number (ASN) cables: - CLIN 0001-First Article: a. Cable Assembly, AC Power (ASN R400-90/190W50) - 1ea. b. Cable Assembly, DC Power (ASN R400-90/190W51) - 1ea. c. Cable Assembly, Power Amp (ASN R400-90/190W40) - 1ea. d. Cable Assembly, Pedestal Cable (ASN R400-90/190W41) - 1ea. - CLIN 0002- Limited Rate Initial Production (LRIP): a. Cable Assembly, AC Power (ASN R400-90/190W50) - 14ea. b. Cable Assembly, DC Power (ASN R400-90/190W51) - 14ea. c. Cable Assembly, Power Amp (ASN R400-90/190W40) - 14ea. d. Cable Assembly, Pedestal Cable Power (ASN R400-90/190W41) - 14ea. - CLIN 0003-Full Production: a. Cable Assembly, AC Power (ASN R400-90/190W50) - 220ea. b. Cable Assembly, DC Power (ASN R400-90/190W51) - 220ea. c. Cable Assembly, Power Amp (ASN R400-90/190W40) - 200ea. d. Cable Assembly, Pedestal Cable (ASN R400-90/190W41) - 200ea. All dates listed below are tentative; official dates will be provided when the solicitation is released. TENTATIVE SOLICITATION ISSUE DATE: January 21, 2014 TENTATIVE PROPOSAL DUE DATE: February 7, 2014 ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: February 28, 2014 DELIVERY SCHEDULE: First article units will be delivered to the ROC in Norman, OK 30 days after receipt of order. The second article units LRIP are due 45 days after First Article approval and full production is due within 6 months of LRIP approval.
