- This is a notice of intent by the 502d Contracting Squadron, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX to award a single sole source follow-on Firm-Fixed Priced (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract to The George Washington University (Cage Code 4L405) for non-personal services to provide Academic Affiliation and associated Educational Services for the Medical Laboratory Technician Courses. The performance period will consist of a one-year base period from ~15 February 2014 through 14 February 2015 with four one-year option periods. University affiliation services shall shall provide enrollment services and academic records maintenance for each student. Upon student graduation from the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) Program, the GWU will issue an official transcript for each student, with a minimum of sixty (60) semester hours. The sixty (60) semester hours must include a minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or twenty-four (24) semester hours of science courses that include six (6) semester hours in chemistry, six (6) semester hours in biology, and twelve (12) semester hours in biology, chemistry, or laboratory technology in any combination. All college credit hours granted will be based solely on the curriculum defined in the Program of Instruction (POI) for the Army and Navy courses, currently taught at METC by Military Instructors. The GWU is the only known University in the Continental United States accredited by NAACLS that offers both a Certificate Program and an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and meets the sixty (60) semester hour course curriculum in accordance with the POI for Army and Navy course requirements. The solicitation will be issued on or about 10 February 2010.
