The National Library Services for The Blind and Physically Handicapped of the Library of Congress requires specialized Hotel and Conference Meeting Accommodations for the 2014 National Conference of Librarians for the Blind taking place from Saturday May 3, 2014 through Thursday May 8, 2015. The procurement will require a hotel/conference center large enough to host a conference within Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to accommodate 700-800 total room nights (maximum of up to 150 guests accommodations per night over the course of 7 nights) from check -in Friday May 2, 2014 through check-out Friday May 9, 2014. Hotel Conference Center must be fully ADA compliant to accommodate a number of guests with a wide range of disabilities and have the capacity to provide catering services throughout the stead of the conference, several meeting spaces that can hold groups of up to 175 individuals, room set up services, and the appropriate AV equipment. Due to the disabilities of many of the attendees, restaurants, shops, stores, and various attractions located within the downtown Oklahoma City area should be within walkable distance (no more than 0.5 miles) from the prospective Hotel Conference Center. The Library intends to issue this requirement as a sole source order to The Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel & Spa.
