- This synopsis is in anticipation of solicitation FA8571-14-R-0004. AFSC/PZIO Contracting Squadron, Robins AFB, GA is issuing a solicitation for a commercial Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for Aircraft Painters Services at Robins AFB, GA. This announcement will only serve as a presolicitation notice. This acquisition will be set-aside 100% for 8(a) small business concerns and it has been determined that competition will be open to all 8(a) eligible firms nation-wide, with no geographical restrictions. Foreign contractors will NOT be permitted to participate at the prime contractor level. This acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 561320 a size standard of $25.5M. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 to $9,000,000. The Government anticipates award of one 12-month Basic and one 6-month Option period. To be eligible for contract award, prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The Contractor shall be responsible for the selection, recruitment, hiring, management, control, transfer and/or termination of Contractor employees required to perform this service. The contractor shall provide knowledgeable aircraft painters to supplement the organic workforce within the Corrosion Control facilities for 402 AMXG at Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR-ALC) at Robins AFB (RAFB), Georgia. Work Schedules include: Normal dayshift operating hours, excluding federal holidays, 0700-1545 hours, Monday through Friday. Contractor employees may be required to work other than normal dayshift operating hours including Swing shift, Monday through Friday, 1515-2345 hours; Owl Shift, Sunday through Friday 2200-0630 hours. The solicitation will be available on or about 7 February 2014, with an estimated 10 calendar day response period.
