- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO for thirteen (13) Fuel Cell Pressure Decay/Back Pressure Test Sets (P/N 74D460625-1001) and thirteen (13) Fuel Cell Pressure Decay/Back Pressure Plug Set (P/N 74D460626-1001) in support of the US Navy F/A-18 Aircraft Program. Procurement will also include options for an additional thirty-two (32) Fuel Cell Pressure Decay/Back Pressure Test Sets (P/N 74D460625-1001) and thirty-two (32) Fuel Cell Pressure Decay/Back Pressure Plug Sets (P/N 74D460626-1001). The Boeing Company has the requisite knowledge, experience and expertise to manufacture the Fuel Cell Pressure Decay/Back Pressure Test Sets and Fuel Cell Pressure Decay/Back Pressure Plug Set. The Government currently does not have sufficient data to compete this effort. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C ) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
