Description
THIS IS A SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY Adams and Associates, Inc., contracting for the U.S. Department of Labor for the operation of the Red Rock Job Corps Center - a 244 student residential training facility located at Route 487 North, Lopez, PA, is currently soliciting written bids for a Center Mental Health Consultant. Vendor shall provide: Review folders and assist with the reasonable accommodation process. Review of Social Intake Form (SIF) or intake assessment performed by counseling staff of students who indicate mental health history, current mental health problems, or who request to see the Center Mental Health Consultant within 1 week of arrival. Advice to the Center Director and/or Health and Wellness Manager on the advisability of students' separations for mental heath reasons, and the cost of mental health services, including inpatient facility use. Minimum of a 1-hour presentation on mental health promotion for all new students during the Career Preparation Period with an emphasis on employability. Presentation on managing mental health-related symptoms and behaviors in the workplace for students during the Career Development and Transition Periods. One annual center wide mental health promotion and education activity. Clinical consultation with the Center Director, management staff, and the Health and Wellness Manager regarding mental health-related promotion and education efforts for students and staff. Coordination with other department/programs on center, including, but not limited, to residential, recreation, and student government association. Short term counseling with mental health checks as needed. Consultation on the development of a system to promote the coordination and integration of the mental health and wellness program with the TEAP and related center wide programs. Staff development on using mental health principles and techniques, including coping with problems of alcohol and drug use. Provide clinical assistance to students and the TEAP (Trainee Employee Assistance Program) Specialist. Collaboration with center physician and health and wellness staff on psychotropic medication monitoring with the advice of consulting psychiatrist if appropriate. Collaboration with counseling staff in developing and/or leading psycho educational skill building groups to promote wellness. Information exchange through regular case conferences between the Center Mental health Consultant, counselors and other appropriate staff based on individual student needs. Crisis intervention, as needed. The center mental health consultant shall conduct a mental health evaluation as soon as possible, and when necessary, refer the student for psychiatric care. Referral to off center mental health professionals or agencies for ongoing treatment and/or specialized services. Staff development (minimum 1 hour per 100 students per week). Clinical Services (minimum 6 hours per 100 students per week). TEAP Consultation Services (minimum 2 hours per 100 students per week). The period of performance is February(current) to April 30, 2014 with 1 option year. (May 2014-April 2015) The Red Rock Job Corps Center will host a mandatory bid conference on February 7, 2014 at 1:00pm. All interested parties must participate in order to be considered.
