Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 23 Contracting Office (NCO 23) on behalf of the St. Cloud VA Health Care System, 4801 Veterans Drive, St. Cloud, MN 56303, contemplates issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for completion of general construction project 656-13-241, titled "Replace Fire Alarm System Building Devices." The solicitation and any subsequent award will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation), Part 36 (Construction), relevant sections of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulation (VAAR). The applicable NAICS Code is 236220. The small business size standard is $33.5 million. The estimated magnitude of construction is $2 million to $5 million. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside (SDVOSB). The contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools and equipment required to complete the project. This is a campus-wide replacement/ reconfiguration of existing field devices and associated replacement of electrical circuits and conduits. All work shall be completed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. A site visit will be conducted. The tentative date for the site visit is March 14, 2014. Specific information for the site visit will be announced in any solicitation that is actually posted. The tentative issue date for any actual solicitation is March 7, 2014. Proposals will be due not less than 30 days after the issuance of any solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. All respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov and complete online Representations and Certifications at http://www.sam.gov, along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. All parties must obtain all notices and amendments to the solicitation through this web site.
