Description
FY14 SOF CNS PARACHUTE DRYING TOWER FOR AERIAL DELIVERY, CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, CURRY COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, and thus competition is limited to bidders identified as small businesses under NAICS 236220, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Bidders attention is directed to Section 00 21 13 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 24 February 2014, with proposals due on or about 27 March 2014. Bidders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. CONSTRUCTION SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED under this firm fixed price contract will consist of the construction of a parachute drying tower per the drawings and requirements provided in the solicitation package. The parachute drying tower will be approximately 100 feet tall on the north side of the Aerial Delivery Building 680 on Cannon Air Force Base. It will accommodate six hoists that will lift G-11 chutes completely off the ground. The tower will consist of insulated metal framing for the structure. It will also include a heater and blower system to facilitate drying and blowing out debris from the chutes. This project also includes a fire pump with enclosure and a diesel generator. THE PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation to Bid. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only. Notification of amendments shall be made via Internet only, as well.
