Description

MCCUU specification revision MCCUU specification The purpose of this update is to: (1) provide the RFI responders with a copy of the MCCUU specification (please see attachments); (2) provide response to industry question; and (3) extend the RFI written submission date to 3 March 2014. (1) Please see attachments to subject update regarding the MCCUU specification. (2) Q1: In the original RFI posting, there were a number of specifications referencing the performance attributes for knit fabrics for the t-shirt and brief under-layer material. We wanted to confirm, the amended Table 1, which omitted performance attributes such as colorfastness and bursting strength; takes precedence over other previous tables for specifications the Government is requiring. A1: The under-layers shall have similar durability and protection as the cotton undershirt (commercial item description A-A-50013G) and meet the additional performance attributes also detailed in Attachment I. The dry out time requirement is a key performance parameter (KPP). Material submitted must meet this KPP. Note that these other attributes, like colorfastness and bursting strength, have requirements listed in the cotton undershirt document (commercial item description A-A-50013G) available in the DLA ASSIST database." (3) RFI written submission date is extended to 3 March 2014.
