Description

Students in the Radiology Specialist Program take Radiographs of these training aids. These training aids (Radiology Patient Simulator) are used to demonstrate anatomy and evaluate positioning and imaging techniques, including kVp, mAs, contrast, optical density. Radiographs of these training aids are optically equivalent in density and contrast to human patients. They permits unlimited exposures, tolerate trainee errors and students have no difficulty in maneuvering phantoms into most desired positions. Salient Characteristics: Training aids are patient replicas that are approximately 5 ft tall and weigh 105 lbs. They contain abdominal and pelvic organs: stomach, gall bladder, urinary bladder, kidneys, rectum, and sigmoid flexure. These are air-filled, but accept water or contrast media for training in Radiographic Fluoroscopy. PIXY is 5 ft. 1 in. (156cm) tall and weighs 105 lbs. (48kg)PIXY comes with a shipping/storage crate. Her crated shipping weight is 265lbs.
