Description
The Department of the Interior, Interior Business Center, Denver Acquisition Services Directorate on behalf of the Office of the Special Trustee intends to award a sole source purchase order to MCB Enterprises Inc. 3811 Rutledge Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109-5564 on a sole source basis using the authority of 6.302-1. The intended procurement is classified under NAICS Code 561621 with a size standard of $11.5 Million. The resultant will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the FAC 2005-71 effective November 25, 2013. This acquisition is conducted under the procedures as described in FAR Part 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13- Simplified Acquisition Procedures Description: Maintenance for Access control to Office of the Special Trustee Headquaters in Albuquerque, NM Details on the Access Control System: The office is currently using the stand alone, AMAG Symmetry HSE Professional Software with Code Bench PIV Software, version 6.1 to operate the access control system. This version is required to operate the fifty-five (55) S843 card readers, which serve as USAccess/PIV smart card readers. In addition, the AMAG software is used with a MAGICARD badge printer to create the in-house badges. Annual maintenance of the access control system is required to keep the system up to date with USAccess upgrades, which occur from time to time. General maintenance occasionally occurs and requires a tech to service within 5 hours. The system is currently operational. Purpose and Objective: The objective of this contract is to allow continued maintenance of the access control system at OST's main headquarters for a period of six months. Period of Performance: Base period of six (6) months, February 12, 2014 through August 11, 2014 This notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order is not a request for competitive proposals. However, in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources that feel they can meet the Government's requirements detailed above may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties' bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirements, and include: the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), and the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). All offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov." A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received will be retained as Market Research. All responses must be received by 12:00 pm EDT on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 and must reference number D14PS00203.
